A Dry White Season hosted its 30th-anniversary screening, at AFI Silver Theatre and Cultural Center, in Silver Spring, Maryland, in partnership with Motivational Moore.

Directed by Euzhan Palcy, the critically acclaimed film garnered Marlon Brando a Best Supporting Oscar nomination and a Best Actor Award at the Tokyo Film Festival.

Hailing from Martinique, Euzhan Palcy became the first Black woman to direct a Hollywood studio film and the first Black director to direct an actor to an Oscar nomination. She is recognized globally for risking her life to expose the injustices in apartheid South Africa and was recently honored at the Caribbean-American Heritage Awards.
