CHARDELLE MOORE TO HOST AND PERFORM AT THE SWALIGA FOUNDATION’S 8TH ANNUAL #STEAMTHEBLOCK PARTY DC

Chardelle Moore will host and perform at The Swaliga Foundation’s 8th Annual #STEAMtheBlock Party on Saturday, August 10, 2024, from 12-5pm ET at the DC Entertainment and Sports Arena. The event will bring together over 2,000 youth, schools, local businesses, parents, and community organizations for 30+ interactive STEAM stations and live music, providing a vibrant back-to-school celebration.

This free event allows youth to explore their creative talents through STEAM workshops, panel discussions, culinary experiences, live performances, and more, with all activities at no cost to participants or their families.

Swaliga #STEAMtheBlock™ aims to enhance economic equity and address youth unemployment. With Washington, D.C. having the lowest graduation rate in the U.S. (National Center for Education Statistics) and high youth unemployment rates in communities like South Africa, Swaliga has already impacted over 3,000 youth and families in Washington, D.C. by providing STEAM resources, internships, scholarships, and career exposure. The arts are essential to Swaliga’s success in engaging these communities.
